Tryout Information
Club Idaho tryouts are open to any volleyball player regardless of the club you have played for in the past. We encourage all players to come and see what we have to offer. Our teams are designed for players seeking to compete at a high level. We offer teams for all skill levels. Players are selected on skill levels, positive attitude, communication, and work ethic.
Club season runs from October - May. Practices will start the end of November.
Tryout registration must be done online. Please follow the USAV/AAU Age Definitions for 2024 to register for tryouts. You must come to the tryout for your age group/grade level. Players are allowed to try out in an older age group with permission from the club director - email clubidahovb@gmail.com.
ALL players that participated in Summer Tryouts need to register for Fall Tryouts but will not have to pay.
AAU MEMBERSHIP
All players must have a current AAU Membership #. This number will be required to register for tryouts and any program a player participates in at Club Idaho. Purchase the $20.00 membership. You will receive an email with your receipt and the last page has the membership # on it. Use Club Idaho's club code on the membership.

USAV MEMBERSHIP
2024 USAV CARD
All 16, 17, 18 BLUE level players will need the 2024 USAV card. Bring a copy of the card to the Open House/Signing meeting. Do not buy this until you make the BLUE level team. See the link provided. You will need to purchase this in November of 2023.

Tryout times are 6:00-9:30pm. Players must be there for the entire tryout.
Arrive 30 minutes early to check in, get your number and be ready to play.
Season begins with tryouts in October and November. Practices will start up the end of November.

ATTEND SIGNING MEETING**
FORMAT:
Everyone needs to be there at 6:30pm for a meeting with all teams together. This will replace the team meetings. We will go over travel, tournaments, and season questions.
After that meeting we will break into separate teams where you can meet your coaches, sign papers and meet the other players.
THIS IS NOT OPEN HOUSE STYLE - you need to be there at the beginning of the meeting.
PRACTICES
Teams practice 2-3 times a week. Practice times:
Younger ages - 6:00-7:30pm
Older ages - 7:30-9:30pm
Practices are on M/W or T/TH.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I am 14 but in the grade with all the players that are 15? Can I play up?
This happens often and we allow players to play up. You can come to the older tryout and let the CID coaches know that you want to play on the older team with your classmates.
Why do I need an AAU Membership for tryouts?
All athletes must have a membership # to enter into the registration. Without this membership, athletes are not allowed to be on the court at all. This is the insurance that the facilities require us to have to use their gyms.
